![]() Special map rules: Tanoby Ruins as an area encompasses all of the chambers Mt. (there is a fusion mechanic in this game and I'll explain it if/when necessary, don't worry)ġ.4. Fusions don't count as catches, but they can't be undone and can only be made with owned fighters and/or catchable dupes. ![]() Any fighter received by an NPC or similar (Gifts, ingame trades, Game Corner rewards, static encounters etc) counts as a catch for that area.ġ.3. Fighters with branching evolutionary lines will have both of their final evolutions considered non-dupes until one is owned.ġ.2. Dupe, in this run, equals any fighter I have or fighters on their respective DIRECT evolutionary lines ġ.1.1. NO FILLERS - Only the first loose fighter of any given route can be captured (or killed accidentally by your overpowered team). Given how the game is set up, some rules might play out a little differently, but, as we'll see below, standard rules still apply. The game is fun to play, though, and I'm relying on my knowledge of both franchises to make something good out of this. This, being my first plot-driven run and my first screenshot run, is already a bit of a challenge in and of itself, but it's even more challenging given the nature of such a bizarre idea for a romhack. Fighting-types are the norm around this region, and the damage calculation of Special Attacks has been tinkered with to account for how early you get 100 BP blast attacks such as the Kamehameha.Īs some of you might've noticed, I'm a bit of a Dragon Ball aficionado. The creator of the game, Z-Max, has worked mostly on his own into making this pretty cool hack and it does, for better or worse, reflect Dragon Ball as a whole in terms of power: it's extremely unbalanced, with Saiyans taking most of the spotlight in terms of strongest species. ![]() It is called Dragon Ball Z Team Training. And to dispel any doubts, yes, this is a Pokémon hack featuring Dragon Ball characters as catchable and trainable monsters, from the original Dragon Ball all the way to Dragon Ball Super. Some of you may have anticipated what's to come already, some of you may be confused.
